You don’t need a dramatic crossroads to have a question worth sitting with.
Sometimes you’re considering a new direction. Sometimes you’ve said yes to one thing too many. Sometimes you’ve opened the same document six times, made another coffee, and decided the problem must be the font.
Life has a way of handing us questions before it hands us the time (or the quiet)to consider them.
Welcome to Oddly Auspicious. Pull up a chair. Your coffee can come too.
Hi, I’m Lindsay. I’m the person behind the cards.
I’m a writer, journal keeper, and creative person who enjoys exploring the stories and symbols in tarot. I like a good question, a little humor, and room to discover that my first interpretation of something might not be the only one.
That’s the spirit behind Oddly Auspicious: curiosity about what we notice when we stop trying to have the answer immediately.
I don’t identify as a psychic. My approach to tarot is reflective and intuitive, with your own judgment at the center. We can make room for a little magic while still keeping our feet on the floor.
Why “minor inconveniences”?
Because ordinary life gives us plenty to untangle.
A project you care about but keep avoiding. A decision that looks simple until you try to make it. The uncomfortable feeling that something needs to change, followed closely by the equally uncomfortable question of what.
The tagline is just a wink to the size of your feelings. Something doesn’t have to qualify as a catastrophe to deserve your attention.
You don’t have to wait until everything falls apart before making a little space for yourself. “I’m not sure what I need, but I could use a different perspective” is a perfectly reasonable place to begin.
What a reading looks like here
You bring one question or situation. I personally shuffle, pull, and photograph your cards, then explore how the individual cards connect to your question and to one another.
Our first reading, The Plot Twist, uses three cards to consider what’s happening, what deserves attention, and a possible next step.
You receive a personalized written PDF with your card photo, interpretations, an overall reflection, two journaling prompts, and one practical takeaway.
There’s no live appointment to squeeze into your calendar. You can read it in your own time, underline a sentence, write in the margins, and come back to it later. A reading shouldn’t become another meeting you have to find a clean shirt for.
I use Canva tools to assist with creating the PDF, and I enjoy the time I spend doing your readings & creating your files.
Your decisions stay yours
A reading can offer an image, a question, or a connection you hadn’t considered. You get to notice what resonates, question what doesn’t, and decide what you want to do with it.
I don’t promise guaranteed outcomes, exact predictions, or access to someone else’s private thoughts. These readings are for adults 18 and older, for reflection and entertainment, and don’t replace medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice.
A question to take with you
Before you go, try this in your journal… or on whatever scrap of paper is currently doing its best:
What have I been treating as too small to deserve my attention?
Give yourself five minutes. You don’t need to solve it. Naming it might be enough for today.
Around here, I’ll share tarot reflections, journaling prompts, and ways to pause amid the ordinary weirdness of being human. No perfectly organized life required.
If you’d like to explore a question of your own, The Plot Twist is available on Etsy for $25.05.
Come curious. Leave room for possibility.
